Preschool Classes
We know that selecting your child's first school experience is an important decision. At Kingdom Kids Preschool, we offer a variety of options to fit the needs of your child and family. Kingdom Kids Christian Preschool is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services, 4-star Parent Aware rated (the highest star rating available), and accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI, one of the nation's largest and most stringent accrediting agencies).
CURRICULUM
Core Knowledge, A Beka, Second Step curriculums and other supplementary materials are used in our primary classes and in-house developed curriculum is used in our enrichment classes. All curriculum is designed to stimulate intellectual growth, social & emotional skills, and character development. It is structured around themes, concepts, and skills that are introduced to students in a logical progression. Activities which offer children opportunities to interact with materials, peers, and adults in individual and group experiences are provided. These activities are designed to meet the children’s spiritual, social/emotional, intellectual, and physical needs. These activities challenge, but not discourage, children. Monitoring the growth and development of the children enrolled is of primary importance in planning what will be taught and how it will be accomplished.
CLASS PROGRAMS
Half-Day Primary Preschool Classes
Classes are available for children ages 2 to 5, with sessions available in both the morning (9am-11:30am) and afternoon (12:30-3:00pm), meeting one to five times per week.
Full-Day Primary Preschool Classes
Classes are available for children ages 3 to 5, with sessions available 9:00am - 3:00pm meeting two to three times per week.
Enrichment Classes
We offer classes in areas such as art, literature, cultural exploration, Spanish language, and physical education for children ages 3 to 5. These classes meet once a week morning (9:00am-11:30am) and/or afternoon (12:30pm-3:00pm) throughout the school year and can be taken in conjunction with, or as an alternative to, our primary preschool classes. Unless enrolled in a primary preschool class, students must be enrolled in a minimum of two enrichment classes.
Friends 'N Fun
This social & emotional development afternoon class is offered daily from 12:30pm – 3:00pm and can be taken in conjunction with primary preschool and/or enrichment classes. In this class, students will have rest time, center time, snack, recess, and more.
Extended Care
Extended Care services are available. Early drop off is available beginning at 7:30am. Late pick up is available until 5:30pm. Lunch buddies (11:30am-12:30pm) provides an optional extension of either a morning or afternoon class.
Camp Kingdom Kids
We also offer Camp Kingdom Kids, a summer day camp program for children ages 3 through 12.
